The Swamp Rabbit Inn is two blocks from Main Street and two blocks from the Swamp Rabbit Trail, a 22 mile paved bike trail connecting the cosmopolitin Southern city of Greenville with the hip mountain town of Travelers Rest ten miles up the trail. Perfect for all levels of cyclists, the Swamp Rabbit Trail is one of Greenville's main attractions.
The Swamp Rabbit Inn is a DIY Bed & Breakfast furnished entirely in IKEA. There are six guest rooms with 2 deluxe rooms (Double Owl and Sheep with private bathsGuests have access to our well stocked common kitchen and we provide breakfast items for guests to help themselves. We stock with items like eggs, milk, bacon and sausage, yogurt, bagels and cream cheese, bread, cereal, pancakes, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, orange juice and serve Kringle, a Danish pastry shipped in from Racine, WI, as a daily treat for our guests to enjoy. There are plenty of pots and pans and cooking utensils and guests love the convenience of preparing their breakfast on their own schedule. We even have a gas grill on the back deck off the kitchen.
We provide a Kuerig with coffee and cream and sugar, tea and hot cocoa in each guest room. Snacks are put out each day for our guests and we have an honor bar on the common area. Guests can mingle in the common areas inside and outside or retreat to the privacy of their rooms. Quiet hours are 10pm - 8 am each day.
We rent bikes onsite at the Bike Shed and guests can reserve our 7 speed Specialized city bikes to ride the trail or ride into downtown. Our bikes can be reserved at time of reservation or during your stay if you decide you would like to ride. Our bike rental rates are $15/4 hours or $25/full day. Bike rentals and other merchandise can be billed to your room. Our bikes are also rented to the public.
We have a parking lot on site for our guests and many restaurants, shops, attractions are within walking distance. Park your car in our lot and walk or bike to everything downtown Greenville has to offer.
