If you're in the Florence area, check out the Art Trail Gallery in its new home at 185 West Evans St.
The gallery, which is the home studio of sculptor Alex Palkovich, features the work of many artists from the Pee Dee region. The Art Trail Gallery is open 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday and 5:30-8 p.m. on Friday. Admission is free.
A holiday show is featured now through Christmas. Past exhibits at the gallery have included quilting and photography.
Palkovich, who designed the centerpiece three-column obelisk with a bronzed image of a bald eagle in Florence Veterans Park, also offers sculpting classes on Mondays.
On select Sundays, the gallery hosts chamber music featuring various performers. Some performances require ticket purchase and include a reception. Check out Art Trail's calendar for details or call (843) 673-0729.
