Backstory: Built in 1804 by the Thomas Lorton family, the Inn at Magnolia Hill has provided hospitality to South Carolina governors and foreign diplomats. It sits on the site of Pendleton’s original log cabin trading post.

Bed and Bath: There are four uniquely designed guest rooms with ensuite baths, fine furnishings and appointments.

Breakfast: Mornings at the inn begin with a filling farm-to-table breakfast.

Backstory: Rocky Retreat is a classic farmhouse dating back to 1849. Known also as the Boone-Douthit House, it is on the National Register of Historic Places and received the South Carolina Historic Preservation Award in 2000.

Backstory: Sunrise Farm Bed & Breakfast sits on 10 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills and represents the last vestiges of a late 1800s 385-acre cotton plantation.
