From walking on the beach to renting a paddleboard or kayak and exploring the marshes surrounding the island, there's plenty to keep the family busy on an Edisto Island vacation. If you are into fishing, book a trip with one of the many fishing charters available to get you out on the water. Or perhaps your idea of recreation is to just sit in a beach chair and let the waves lap at your feet. Whatever your idea of recreation is, Edisto Island is the place for you!

Edisto Beach State Park
Offering a beautiful beach and miles of trails for hiking and biking, this gem of a park is a great place to spend the day. Make sure to stop in at the Environmental Learning Center, a “green” building with exhibits that highlight the natural history of Edisto Island the surrounding ACE Basin. 

The Beach
With 37 public access points to the island’s five miles of beautiful shoreline, getting to the beach couldn’t be easier, no matter where you are staying on Edisto Island.

Edisto Marina
A great way to experience Edisto Island is from the water. Plan to take a boat tour to explore the marsh and creeks or watch a gorgeous sunset.

Fishing Charters
Fontaine Charters will take you out for some fantastic lowcountry fishing or some fast-action offshore fishing.  Fish for spottail bass, red drum, flounder, trout, whiting and other species.

Charleston Fishing Company offers inshore/nearshore fishing as well as sightseeing trips.
