Dining options in Hilton Head seem nearly as vast as the ocean surrounding it. But if those dinner pangs hit well past the dinner hour, finding something not served from a fast-food window can be a little tricky. You don’t have to settle, though. Here are some of the island’s best bets when the hungries have you hunting for tasty late-night eats.
Reilley’s Grill & Bar

A time-honored restaurant and Boston-style pub, Reilley’s has served the Hilton Head community since 1982. They are obviously doing something right. The family-owned and -operated restaurant is warm and welcoming with a spacious patio for dining al fresco. Known for steaks and fresh seafood, the pub grub here is top-notch with sandwiches, salads, crab cakes, Irish potato skins and more. Open until midnight.
Dry Dock
840 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head 843-842-9775 Open until 1 a.m. Monday – Saturday and midnight on Sundays.
Dry Dock Seafood and Spirits has been a Hilton Head mainstay since 1994. Open seven days a week, it offers a variety of fresh seafood along with burgers, salads, ribs and steaks in a sports bar atmosphere.
Brother Shuckers

A South End restaurant and live music venue, Brother Shuckers keeps its kitchen fully involved until midnight and stays open until 2 a.m. Jalapeno poppers, fried green tomatoes, peel and eat shrimp, oysters, burgers and many more options ensure you’ll find something to satisfy your late-night craving. There is also a lean toward locally sourced ingredients, so the dishes are infused with pride and fresh flavors.
Cheap Seats Tavern
142 Burnt Church Road, Bluffton (843) 837-3287 Open 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily
There’s nothing like a hot pizza to end your night on a high note and Cheap Seats Tavern is the place locals go to do just that. Order your favorite toppings and an icy cold pitcher of beer. Live music on Fridays. Open until 1 a.m. Tuesday – Saturday and until midnight on Sunday and Monday.
