Love the serenity you feel practicing yoga? Take it up a notch and take it outdoors. Yoga classes are offered in beautiful natural settings all over South Carolina from Lowcountry beaches to Upstate farms.

Whether you're balancing on a stand-up paddleboard in a quiet creek or getting into your downward-facing dog with a couple of kid goats, your yoga experience will be intensified communing with the universe around you.

Here are eight outdoor yoga class options not to be missed:

SUP Yoga on the Folly River

In this beginner-friendly class offered by Charleston SUP Safaris, you'll practice basic yoga poses while balancing on a stand-up paddleboard floating in the Folly River. An anchoring system keeps participants from drifting with the tide.

Starlight & Sunrise Yoga

Find balance from dawn to dusk with Starlight Yoga and Sunrise Yoga, two unique classes offered by the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission. Flow under the glow of the moon and stars in Starlight Yoga, where a peaceful atmosphere and a special glow-in-the-dark prize make for a magical experience. Or rise with the sun for Sunrise Yoga, an energizing session that helps you set intentions and embrace the day ahead. Both classes are inclusive, open to all abilities and offer the perfect way to connect with nature and yourself.

Goat Yoga

Experience yoga like never before at a goat yoga class, a playful and relaxing practice where gentle stretches meet the joy of friendly goat interactions. Whether you're looking to unwind in nature, share a few laughs or simply enjoy the company of these curious creatures, goat yoga offers a unique and uplifting escape.

Located on John’s Island, the goats at The Goatery at Kiawah River are trained not to jump on you but interact in very organic ways. They're sure to make you smile and make the stretching just a little sweeter.

After the class at Goat Daddy’s Farm and Animal Sanctuary in Elgin finishes, guests are offered complimentary farm fresh hors d'oeuvres in the farm store—and mimosas—before going on a tour of the sanctuary.

With classes available across South Carolina, from the Lowcountry to the Upstate, there are plenty of opportunities to experience this fun and refreshing take on traditional yoga.

Yoga at Cherry Grove Beach

This scenic slice of North Myrtle Beach shoreline is the setting for early morning yoga classes offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from May through Labor Day by instructor Denise Clifford.

Holding glow sticks, your yoga moves will become colorful works of art in the dark in Serenity Tree Yoga's Glow Yoga class offered around the new moon each month, weather permitting, on Folly Beach.

Yoga on Broad Creek

Add to the challenge of getting into your warrior poses by doing it on a stand-up paddleboard floating in Hilton Head Island's Broad Creek. Jiva Yoga offers yoga classes on the water, as well on Coligny Beach, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

King of Pops Outdoor Flow Yoga

Hosted by Soul Yoga every Thursday from early summer through late October, this free, extraordinarily popular class is held on the studio's lawn adjacent to the famed GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail in Greenville.
