There's nothing quite like a weekend spent outdoors-especially in the Palmetto State. If you're an adventure seeker looking for a fast-paced and fun-filled weekend getaway, this is just the itinerary for you.

Day 1: Whitewater Rafting + Zip Lining Canopy Tours with Wildwater Rafting

Lodging: Cabins, cottages and camping with Wildwater Rafting

Wildwater Rafting, located in Long Creek, South Carolina, is one of the most well-known whitewater rafting outfitters in the Southeast. Their seasoned guides will take you through rapids of all classes along the Chattooga River, and the best part is, you can make overnight accommodations with them as well. In addition to whitewater rafting, Wildwater also offers zip line canopy tours-experience adventure from new heights as you glide through the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.

After your trip down the Chattooga and zip lining, head back to the lodging of your choosing and get some rest. With everything from luxury cabin rentals to bunkhouse yurts, there are accommodations to fit every kind of trip and budget. You'll certainly have worked up an appetite by dinnertime, so head to the nearby Brasstown Creek Gathering Place for some of South Carolina's famous barbecue, or check out Humble Pie for some delicious pizza. After you've had your fill, make your way back to your lodgings and get some well-deserved rest.

Day 2: Water Sports at Lake Jocassee + Mountain Biking and Trail Running at Paris Mountain

Lodging: Camping at Paris Mountain State Park

Wake up refreshed and ready for your next outdoor adventure. For day two, head down to South Carolina's beautiful Lake Jocassee to enjoy some time on the water. Jocassee is located in Devils Fork State Park, which offers canoe, kayak, pontoon and paddle board rentals. Explore Jocassee, one of South Carolina's natural gems, before heading to Paris Mountain for an exciting afternoon of mountain biking and trail running.

But before you head to Paris Mountain, you'll need to fuel up. Stop by Sisters Restaurant in Salem for some authentic Southern dishes such as barbecue ribs, fried chicken and smothered pork chops. After lunch, get back on the road and make your way to Paris Mountain.

Once you've arrived, check out the park's 15 miles of biking and hiking trails. Whether you're an avid mountain biker or a runner, the trails at Paris Mountain offer breathtaking views and an abundance of wildlife to observe. After you've explored the park, set up camp for the night. With 39 paved campsites (13 of which have tent pads) you'll have plenty of views to choose from when you set up your tent for the night. There are even some campsites located right off the trails!

Day 3: ATV + Motor Sports at Carolina Adventure World

On your third and final day, make your way to Carolina Adventure World for more exciting outdoor fun. Covering more than 2,600 acres and 100 miles of custom designed trails, you'll have plenty of room to cruise around on your ATV at Carolina Adventure World.

After you've had your fill of moto-fun, pack up and head home. We hope you enjoyed your outdoor adventure in South Carolina!
